I gave a talk in 2007 at Pepperdine University called "Who Says Entrepreneurs Are Heroes?" You can watch it if you click here. It was part of the HERO'S JOURNEY ENTREPRENEURSHIP FESTIVAL. You can also watch it by clicking on the arrow in the picture below. I come on after a short introduction by Elliot McGucken, who put the conference together. After about the 2 minute introduction I come on and it lasts about 18 minutes. You can read a text version of this at Who Says Entrepreneurs Are Heroes?

Great presentation! Very interesting topic, especially now when the economy feels as unstable. I think people are feeling a little less adventuresome and wanting to "follow there bliss" for fear of not being supported. This recognition and celebration of the entrepreneur will hopefully restore that confidence in "the entrepreneur spirt and drive".
Thank you,
Michelle

Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Glad you liked the presentation, although the presentation was 2 years ago and things "seemed" more stable then.

Excellent presentation, Cyril. You are boldly going where no economist has gone before. The college where I tutor – Queen’s University, Belfast – has recently created teaching fellows in entrepreneurship in its School of Management and Economics. That at least is a start! Anyone who tries to link the academic sphere with the fire that drives real-world innovation deserves a medal. This is truly the ‘undiscovered country’ where only heroes dare to tread.

Thanks for vote of confidence! Being a Star Trek and Star Wars fan, I appreciate your comments (and you're a Jedi master, too:)). I hope everyone in Ireland is as nice as you since I am going to be their from July 12-July 26.
